So who put the Judges up to it ?? I suspect that they have done it to embarrass the Government. For too long, sentences have been way to lenient for violent offences. So the Judges have slapped these sentences down in the hope that they all appeal on grounds of severity. The Government can't say that the sentences are too heavy as they are out on a limb over wanting rioters, punished!!! So now, Judges can throw it back in their faces, later, when they begin to pass proper sentences for violent offences. The Judges are using these people as pawns in a sentencing game, between them and the Government and they are winning !!!!

A company could have been formed last month. There for the difference between the 'buy' value and the 'sales' value would be covered by the company allowances. Winner could have sold it to the company and kept the money off shore or he could have gifted it for free. This can only be done once in any lifetime and is a good wheeze should a person be retiring from a business. Inheritance Tax is then avoided. The prospective inheritors just become Directors and on the death of the original owner, his/her name is deleted too.

If they had any sense at all, they could have ordered ,on line, from Tesco or ASDA, who both do cheap school clothing, then had it all delivered!!!!
Now when I was at school, I hated the uniform. I wanted to be an individual, not a clone. A very wise Assistant Head told me all about it, during yet another visit to his office. He said that I was growing up and wanted to express myself, which was all good, and perfectly normal. He then said that some parents are rich and some are poor, so it would be very unfair to allow people to dress in cloths that others could not have. It would make them feel inferior. I wore perfect school uniform from then on. He was right about it and all I needed was to be set straight. Perhaps if more conversations took place, instead of folk barking orders, the World would be a better place.

I have been posting, since last year, that I thought that HAARP was being used for a good cause, in that, it was being used to block these hurricanes coming ashore and causing mega damage and death. No hurricane came onshore in the USA, last year.
As this one is looking more and more likely to be coming ashore in Carolina and new York. I thought "oh well, egg on face!!!" This afternoon, I noticed that Irene was turning, slightly, so that she would run parallel to the shore. So will she now come ashore or was it a warning to Wall Street ??
Now the National Guard are being deployed in New York which could lead to Martial Law possibly being declared. Could they have allowed one to get through, just to test how joe sixpack will react to Marshall Law and troops on the streets. Posse Comi tata bye bye or whatever Latin it is, does not allow troops to deploy on US soil, but the weekend warriors of the Guard are allowed to deploy, in a national emergency.
So I am back to my original thoughts. Weird.

Personally, if I were in a danger area I would be heading high up. There are plenty of skyscrapers in New York. So a sleeping bag, some food, water and a laptop and go camping.!!!

They wrongly identified the Brazilian as he left a building, in which, they suspected that a real terrorist was living. The followed him on his route to work.
He got on the tube. Fearing that he was a suicide bomber, that got on the tube train and shot him. Now if they had stuck to the truth, they could have blamed the person, who was supposed to know what the real terrorist looked like and all gone down the pub.
They didn't however and all sorts of crap stories were made up, ad hoc, to cover up the whole event. We were told that all sorts of stop police shouting occurred. Witnesses say that it did not. It was said that he was fumbling inside clothing. Witnesses say he was just sitting there, peacefully, with his hands in his lap. It has been said that he was only disabled by shots and not killed, but somebody gave up the off in a coup de gras deliberate murder of an injured man.
Ironically, DeMeneze was in the country, illegally. He had arrived here, on a holiday visa, overstayed and disappeared. He was said to have been working as an electrician. He must have been a cash in hand one, as no company could start him without a national insurance number or a 7/14 self employed certificate. Were was he working??? Where was the original target?
This should be one to watch with the added interest of a whistleblower. Who would give him odds on surviving??? I would say about 1/250 against him making any Court or Inquiry.

How do you get out of a city when the airports are closed, there is no public transport and about a million folks are all trying to do the same thing???? i suppose that there are Greyhound long distance buses and Amtrak trains. The only other way is by road in cars, vans, trucks and bikes.
This is a recipe for chaos and great civil unrest as the roads begin to jam. up. A 4x4 would be my choice. Then if the roads were jammed, I could just drive round them, through fields and rough land. Would I steal one to get away? Show me a showroom window and I would drive through it !!!! Will many others be hi jacking and stealing cars to get out? you better believe it !!!

Just how prepared are you?
The fact that a huge metropolis like New York is going to be in for a hard time has had me thinking, over the past few days, about just how prepared I am for any severe flooding or power outage.
I use propane gas for heating in portable heaters. These give off a great heat and you have no bills to pay as you pay per bottle delivered.They also give out light. Should the power go off I have a cooker ring attachment which will work with gas, which could be very handy, indeed. To save using gas, I ordered two dozen candles the other night and they were delivered this morning.
I have a sleeping bag and four duvets in cupboards, so I could be warm enough and save gas. I have a big plastic barrel which could collect rain water should that become a problem due to lack of pumps and/or treatment of the supply over a length of time. As I live on top of a hill, I have shelter from flooding. I have heat and light and water.I have loads of batteries in various remote controls which would power a battery radio, for news.I have, shall I just say, means of defence, should the problems go on for a while!!
So to food.If power goes on and off for periods of the day then I am quids in. I have a chest freezer and a fridge/freezer full of stuff. If power goes off for more than a straight 24 hours, then the food is going to be thawed out. I could fill the bath with ice cubes, which you can now have delivered. That might help to preserve some of it.
Onward to the cupboards. Plenty of tins of soup, beans, peas, carrots, corn beef, spam and sausages. Why the last one, who knows? So I intend getting hold of a big bag of rice, this weekend and some more curry powder. You can curry anything !!! If power ever does go out, then I could be in trouble, but boiled or fried rice will keep a person going, along with the tins. Need to sort this food angle out a bit more.
I don't think that Scotland will ever suffer too badly, due to a natural disaster, unless America's New Madrid fault goes and the nuclear stations, built on it, melt down. Then a tsunami could cause the West Coast islands, in particular, a lot of problems.The islands should slow it down and break it up a bit before it would hit the mainland. I am 30 miles inland, on top of a hill, so I would take my chances.
Just have a look round your own place, this weekend and see how you would cope.

So just where will over a quarter of a million people go? A neighbour's couch? The transit system is closing down and folk, without cars or other transport, just can't move. Taxi drivers should make barrow loads of money, getting folk to train stations, Greyhound long distance bus stations and the airports.
Part of this group will be Police, Firemen, Ambulance drivers and so on through all trades. Will power supplies fail to add to the confusion? Will the lights go out in Times Square? With no power there will be very few alarms working. Should power come on and off the timers would be messed up. Will safes open at the wrong time or not, as the case may be?
Looting, and break- ins will certainly rise as folk take advantage of the general chaos. Perhaps, I am right about HAARP after all and the infamous, ubiquitous, they have let one through, to test how Martial Law would work out, should it be used soon. I always maintained that Oklahoma City was a test for the Twin Towers, so why not test Martial Law in New York? Will looters be shot on sight? Will shallow draft boats patrol with guns mounted?
Will Irene turn and it is all for nothing? Who knows? It's gonna be a fun weekend!!
