BBC series The Killing

I set up my BBC I player to record the whole series of The Killing. I finally got round to watching episode 1 earlier today. It seemed very familiar. Then I got it, there is a movie of the same name but it is set in America. It is exactly the same, even down to the cop smoking and the other not doing so.  It don't have sub titles for a foreign language either.!!! The BBC Series was made in 2007, I would wait for the Film, if I were you.
By the way, the butler did it !!!
