I cannot understand why banks are in favour of a cashless society manifesto. They are merely paying lip service IMO. Big banks make millions from drugs and armaments smuggling and for sure, they ain't gonna give those millions up!!
By going digital, every transaction will have two reference numbers, which can be traced. Even Bitcoin moves can be traced. So we will all return to the barter system, which paper money supposedly did away with, but actually did not completely. If two peeps agree on a value of two items and swop them, then that is bartering. A watch at £240 for 5 grams of coke, deal. Sure it becomes storage warehouse time, but it can be done.
Another way is to carry gold and silver ingots to pay for stuff. As there would be no change given, prices would, of course, rise!! Would daily rates also fluctuate against fictitious money!!!???
I actually love the card system as I am disabled and currently housebound. I buy practically everything via computer, pay electronically and arrange/ get notifications, deliveries, with very few exceptions. For the rare cash items, I move some money from my bank to a friend's account and he withdraws it, from there, for me. This gets around the banking regulations about transfer of cards, which every family does anyway!!
I am taking delivery of a brand new Ford Transit based converted van, next week, with some apprehension about joining damn queues, again, to pay for diesel, fast food, parking and so on, even with cards. My plan is to play the disabled card and jump the queue!!! Thank goodness for 24 hour garages with shops attached, all began by hard working families who Idi Amin deported from Uganda, having allowed them to move from India and Pakistan following Independence and partition in 1948. Muslims were a minority in India, were attacked and treated like crap, which was why an Independent Pakistan was formed. They wanted the whole top corridor, which made sense, but instead ended up with the ludicrous East and West Pakistan as it is now. Before these families began opening their shops late, the whole of retail Britain basically closed at 1800 hours, except for public houses, which closed at 2130 hours and never opened on a Sunday as did nothing else. A bit like nonmetro France, today!!. So bravo to these British nomads!!
Anyway, get back to the point. The totally cashless society will just never happen. If it did come in, tourism would be dead, completely. Can you imagine rocking up to a shop, on an island with no internet and presenting your Amex Platinum card?? The cost of going worldwide cashless precludes it from happening, simple.

Surely one park could be given up as a social amenity and used to place units on it. These units are just like lego and can go two/three up, set at right angles, zig zagged and crosswalk linked. Mini villages would get folks off the streets and trash into dumpsters.

I have never understood the fad of buying bottle water, at ludicrous prices. Perhaps I am spoiled, living in Scotland as we have no fluoride or chlorine or other crap included in it. Our tap water comes from mountain lochs. Admittedly, in England and in Europe, the water is full of chemicals and tastes awful.
I never drink water, unless it has diluted orange mixed with it. My only drink is coca cola and has been for decades. When I was a kid I loved cold milk and still take a notion to have some.
Anyone, who pays for a type of water, has no idea what is in the bottle. On the label, yes, but in the bottle, no. Profits must be made and I ain't gonna trust a company not to make them, very easily, by filling bottles with tap water, piped into their warehouses.
Buy a kettle and boil your water, if you don't like it, which will get rid of loads of chemicals/

I have always believed that 9/11 happened in order to provide a good reason to invade Iraq and steal their oil, amongst other things, which are rarely talked about. Sadam, a CIA asset, had become a megalomaniac which generally happens when you put a fool in charge of a country, as the CIA did.
The Twin Towers were a health nightmare, full of asbestos, and had to come down, one way or another, which made them an obvious target. An attempt to blow up the Murrah building in Oklahoma, from the outside, by blowing away a corner, hoping that the building would topple, had failed. Another attempt to drop one tower, by placing a van bomb in the basement, had also failed. Enter the scientists in conjunction with some Hollywood folks. After all, many of these folks had faked the Moon landings and CGI was much better now.
Secretive crews were seen clambering all over the twin towers, at very odd hours, prior to 9/11 and I believe that these guys were Israeli labour, planting bombs. The okay had been given by USA and the rest is history.
Britain had to have a 'thing' too, as the us number one lapdog and we suffered the total crap about 4 guys, obviously conned, who had to have boarded cancelled trains or be late. They were actually late, figured out that they were 'patsys' and tried to reach newspaper offices at Canary Wharf. A bit too obvious and they were shot and killed. We had bombs supposedly inside tube trains which blew floors upwards and not downwards among other things which made up a Comedy of Errors. We had bus routes changing which meant the lunacy of doubling back. But the real big insider joke was the fact that the bus blew up in Tavistock Square, the home of the spooky Tavistock Institute, giving them a ringside seat!!
We had the fiasco of the BBC announcing 'live,' a full 25 minutes prior to it happening that building 7 was down.Later we heard about the 'pull it' orders. Fair enough, but in order to demolish a building, there is a mountain of paperwork to wade through and the building must be wired with dynashit. This couldn't be done in a few hours, a few days but possibly in a few weeks. The only way that it could have happened was if the work had already been carried out!!!
The Pentagon was a lucky afterthought, added to the plot, as it had become rather obvious that trillions were missing. Strangely, the exact offices and the people involved in the investigation were hit, probably by a cruise missile and certainly not by a plane!!!
Gold 'disappeared' in dumper trucks, from under the Towers, never to be seen or heard of again. Any remaining scrap metal was shipped to China, on the first available boats, even though the whole area was a 'crime scene.' A pristine passport turned up and another big joke was played out by finding a jet engine, on the street, which had been built by a manufacturer who had not supplied engines to any of the supposed planes??? What a joke that was!!!

I have always loved maths, especially geometry and trigonometry. Both of these proved to me that the Earth was certainly NOT a blue marble revolving in space. So it just has to be on a flat plane.
So how big is big? Could we be, like an ant farm, placed under a glass cover, on some school classroom locker? Even more fun would be if we are one of many plates, like a cake stand, with each level separated by cushioning gooo, Then all of the layers could be covered by a big bell jar. This would allow String Theory to work quite nicely.
So how small is small, anyway??

Never been a fan of vegetables. I like Heinz beans,tomato sauce, baby carrots & Petit pois (wee peas).
As a kid, I ate bananas,apples and oranges. Now with no teeth, bananas sliced and put on hot toast, is my limit.
I tried cabbage, lettuce, broccoli but ever took to them. I am an only child, my father died when I was 13 and mum kept things going. I always believed that if I did not like a food thing, then it was a waste of money, of which we had little, and a waste of food. To cover things up, I always took the blame and said that I was a picky eater.

Remember this supposed NEWS organisation announced to the World, on September 11, that Building 7 had collapsed at 1725hrs, while clearly showing, over the announcer's shoulder, an erect building 7!!! If ever there was a reason not to pay a license to watch their channels, this crap was it!!

The advent of TV, invented by a Scotsman, John Logie Baird, allowed them, initially in the London area, to broadcast pictures and sound, from studios at Crystal Palace. They blossomed from there. The Government decided that the people should pay a license fee to watch and in turn that no adverts would ever be shown. This has been circumvented many many times, with products being shown, in plain view, during most popular programs. Carmakers, especially, fight to have their makes and models available, free of charge, to appear in long-running shows.
The current fee is £145 per year for a household to watch the BBC. So clever, that as soon as the van was spotted, kids would run home and tv's would be turned off, until the van went away!! Clever, just the same.
With the advent of computers, channels, including the BBC, could show previously aired programmes, in later days. Many people began watching their favourites, the next day or at weekends and by doing so, they needed no license. This was brought under license conditions, later. People then turned to the internet, to watch their favourites. Some complete series had been bought in from other countries. Others ran in tandem with one country ahead of the other. By using Pirate Bay, people could download the full series or future episodes before they had been shown. Pirate Bay then had to be hit hard which has caused it no damage whatever!!!
Another way to pay no license, which I use, is to sign a form stating that I do ot watch TV at all. I only play games and watch YouTube etc. This gives me a 2 year grace period and then I do it again. I still get visits to check but I have cameras fitted at the back and front of my flat. I just ignore them and do not open the door. The law states that they must catch me watching a broadcast. people are ow baiting and intimidating employees of Capita, the BBC collection agency, who come round to check if you do or do not have a license and put the results on YouTube. The laws of the UK are pretty simple. You are under no obligation to open your front door to anybody. if you do not engage them, they go away. If you do engage with them then you are under no obligation to allow them inside your home. If, having realised your faux pas, you say not one word and immediately close the door then you are within the Law. Should they try the 'foot in the door' game, you need only say, 'Get out of my home and if you do not do so, I will ask the police arrest you and have you charged with Common Assault and Burglary.' Normally they bolt,then. TV channels now broadcast on Youtube, including the BBC. So it would seem to be a bit of an oxymoron to even need a license.
Due to much advocacy by Jack Jones, an ex Union President, who in retirement fought for pensioners rights, it was decided that if a household had a person over the age of 75, they would be exempt, no matter their financial position. Now it has been decided that only pensioners, over 75, who receive pension credit will be exempt with others having to pay up!
I would ask just how will they find out who is and who is not getting PC. We have the Data Protection Act in the UK which makes it illegal to carry out treasure trove diving into data to produce lists of people who do this or that. Under the 2nd Amendment of their Constitution, Americans have the right to keep arms in their home. With the protracted times of police responding to a call for help, I can see the point of having a gun! The police now appear to operate an arrest all survivors policy!!
Most of the time there are twenty officers round a car for every traffic stop. This is a clever move, on their part, compounded by needless requests for assistance from the first responder. who has a gun, a taser, a baton.handcuffs and normally the Law on his/her side. Just get your gun out and watch an argumentative driver just shut up. ! When the cavalry arrives, they can all stand about, claiming to be part of the deal and signed off from accepting other calls, which might just be dangerous. A traffic stop is good for 45minutes and then back to the doughnut shop. It passes the day, nicely and they may even get called to Court, several times, on their days off , thus gaining double time and a day in lieu.
You would think that this Red Flag law was manna from Heaven. But it is not. Rarely do drivers pull guns at traffic stops. But a drunk nutter, who knows his/her rights under 2nd Amendment, might just object to the idea of losing his/her 50 cal machine gun, sniper's rifle, 14 44 Magnum revolvers, 23 shotguns and a bazooka! He might just make a stand and that could be dangerous for the cops.
Hence they are all complaining about this Law Traffic stopping and revenue collection, via issuing tickets, is rarely dangerous and cops love it. Doing real crime prevention and possibly saving lives from random shooting could be dangerous. Send in the gung ho rookies!
On the surface, this Law looks a good idea. If a neighbour gets drunk and goes out in their yard howling at the Moon and then tries to shoot it, then, perhaps, there is a case to, at least, take away their guns.!
However, if you petition for that gun removal and the petition is agreed, then cops must go get them guns!! Then the real fun begins.
