So just where will over a quarter of a million people go? A neighbour's couch? The transit system is closing down and folk, without cars or other transport, just can't move. Taxi drivers should make barrow loads of money, getting folk to train stations, Greyhound long distance bus stations and the airports.
Part of this group will be Police, Firemen, Ambulance drivers and so on through all trades. Will power supplies fail to add to the confusion? Will the lights go out in Times Square? With no power there will be very few alarms working. Should power come on and off the timers would be messed up. Will safes open at the wrong time or not, as the case may be?
Looting, and break- ins will certainly rise as folk take advantage of the general chaos. Perhaps, I am right about HAARP after all and the infamous, ubiquitous, they have let one through, to test how Martial Law would work out, should it be used soon. I always maintained that Oklahoma City was a test for the Twin Towers, so why not test Martial Law in New York? Will looters be shot on sight? Will shallow draft boats patrol with guns mounted?
Will Irene turn and it is all for nothing? Who knows? It's gonna be a fun weekend!!
