Blowing people up in a casino was certainly a bit over the top, even by Mexican drug crazed standards. Normally they just behead people or hang them from bridges! It is all about Latin machismo. Each bunch of killers want to be the most vicious El Locos on the block, whom people fear. They just push the boundaries all the time to keep their number one spot.
