There will be no smart meters in my flat. I am quite happy with my card pay meter. I buy electricity, in advance, as I need it with no huge bills to worry about. Although I do have electric storage heaters, which must heat up bricks, inside, to radiate the heat, which mainly goes into the wall behind the units. There are no fans. I use propane gas, in mobile heaters, which I can move around the flat. I use them mainly in Autumn and Winter and pay in advance for gas bottles.
Should I want a smart meter for electricity, I would have to pay a fee for the removal of my pay meter and get another bill for the new installation. Then, of course, I would go onto three-month bills. My neighbours got their electric storage heaters replaced with gas ones and they got a gas boiler too. So that needs a smart gas meter and another fee! I refused the gas upgrade and British Gas sent me an installation bill anyway!!! Then they argued that as it was a pipe outside four doors with three users, I should pay a quarter and get nothing for it!!! I told them that I would charge them £100 per hour to get statements and gave them 14 days to accept my terms. Well, the bill was canceled immediately by return.
The gas boiler needs electricity to fire it up! So if you get into money troubles and have power card pre pay meters installed, you must buy both £5 cards just to get hot water.!! What a rip off!! That other £5 could feed you for 2 days ib Summer when you don't need central heating

Travelling from Glasgow to London
I posted about a new service, Loganair, flying from Glasgow to London. As with other airlines they use out of town airports. In this case Southend!! Where? yes, way out on the Essex Coast far away from London. So I decided to investigate how I would get from Glasgow to London, how long would it take and what strange towns that I would see on the way.
Flying.
Loganair to Southend is roughly £85 with a further train ride of roughly 1 hour 45mins depending on fast or slow train. I did not waste time getting train fares as with check-in time, travel and train time this is just a bad joke!!! To be nice say 6 hours.
Easyjet fly to Tommy Robinson land in Luton which again is miles outside London. Plane fare is better at roughly £65 to£80 Train is roughly 50 mins Much better!!
BritishAirways fly to Gatwick or Heathrow at a ridiculously high cost for similar miles.Gatwick can be $110 plus and Heathhrow between £200 to £300 Time of travel matters. Trains from Gatwick 40 mins and Heathrow 1hr.Train fares a rip off because of captive travelers. Good trick at Heathrow is to book to/from station prior/past the airport. Amazingly cheap!!!
Ryanair fly from Prestwick which is a 35 mile train ride or about 1 hr with another train ride from wherever they land, I would either take a sleeping bag or never use them!!! Another joke!!
Glasgow to city airport can be £200 plus but ou are actually in London and save time!!!
I would consider city airport but probably take Easyjet.
By car.
It takes 6 to 7 hours drive time to cover the 400 miles say google maps. At 50 mpg in my new diesel van at £1.32 a litre which is 1.78 pints or 0.22 of a gallon roughly £6 a gallon say £40 to £55 fuel. No check-in, no train no crap and you can stop for a meal, not a jam croissant!! You also have a saving on London transport costs. Taxis are just black money boxes!
By coach.
For those who cannot work cruise control on motorways, there are coaches, which are comfortable and go city centre to city centre. You can travel from £13 one way. They stop for 2 hours for driver change and food break and take about 10 hours. Big btl of coca cola, topped up with half btl of vodka plus laptop/headphones, watching Discovery ch documentaries or movies and you arrive mellow and happy!!! Great choice. What else do you do all night with £13 quid????
By rail.
Takes 5 hours with no check-in time, centre to centre. Cost about£150 Again vodka and movies as you whizz along.
Sum up.
The above is just back of an envelope stuff. You can rockup and fly standby very cheaply. You can reduce rail fares with various cards student disabled. You can even use cooking oil mixed in with diesel which is a new wheeze!! Many use'red' diesel which is illegal.
I would go coach, on a budget or fly Easyjet to Luton. NONE of the others!! However, I love driving, at night, with good sounds and control of when and where that I want to stop, not the driver, who normally gets a freebie.. Cheap at £55 to £60. and you have transport with you.No lugging bags about.

I just do not understand why Bayer bought Monsanto.Okay, they must have been trying to reduce their tax liability, if they actually paid any!!!
As Monsanto was gonna be sued, Worldwide, their share price would be dropping and their shares could be bought cheaply, thus gaining control and ownership. Now, Bayer have bailed Monsanto out and will pay their fines, as no corporate director ever goes to jail. The Corporation is sued as if it is a person and not the people who made all of the stupid decisions. They just get new job titles and bigger bonuses!!!

Property ain't cheap in Amsterdam,
So they put up with 'rubber neckers' for proof of income from commerce. They told a story about a young drunk loud American kid, who came in with a bottle of Jim Beam. The kid offered a member the bottle and went to the toilet. When he came back the HA handed him the empty bottle. The kid got upset but the HA told him 'you give me a drink, you give my brothers one too.' The kid was then flung out!!
In some states in Australia, club members are not allowed to fly colours or show jewelry connected with a club. Some states do not allow more than two members to ride together.

They can easily be found and tracked on sites such as www.planefinder.net. Just look for a circling plane and click on it to see the type, registration, owner, and height, at which it is flying. You will also see the track, which the plane has been following, marked in blue.

This would tie manpower up for decades and divert them from investigating anything, due to communication hassles. During the chaos, storage units could be attacked. People asking 'where is Joe Blow' would be told traveling West to help the family. Poor cell phone, power and landline poles down blah blah. Kabang!!

There appears to be so much desperation building up that they will not care that the coming False Flag will be obvious or not. I was told to shake it out down the leg of my shorts, pick it up and pass it on. It was a race between lines. So the toy worked it's way around my shirt and went down the front of my shorts. A Scout wearing tight, leather shorts raced to get tome and offered to put his hand down my shorts to get the toy. I head-butted him, got the toy out, threw it on the floor and walked out. I had lasted half a night in the cubs.
Many of my friends, who stayed in, told me stories about stripping and hands going everywhere, but they seemed to think that it was 'normal' and that I was the oddball, for not joining in.

My landlord offered me new gas central heating and a gas boiler a few years ago. I refused it although many of my neighbours accepted.

Each small country had different political and social views. The European colonists had tried to force Christianity onto Africa, which had largely failed. The Chinese sought minerals and had no religion and so the Continent was ripe for Islam.

Time for a personal update
I decided to get out and about to do some filming. A bit of travel, kop watching, very low key investigation and whatever took my fancy. So I thought up News Of Society Explored Examined Exposed or NOSEE. I registered nosee.com .org and .net and as I write this blog as Paddy Fields, I brought in my younger identical twin brother Parker, to front the filming.
The first order of the day was transport. Sod using public transport with all the timetables, paying fares electronically and standing out in the hail, wind, snow, and rain, waitng and waiting. I have never mentioned where I live. Some enterprising types may have checked my IP address but hey, I just might be using a VPN. However, the filming will tell all, so I live in the West of Scotland, some 15 miles from Glasgow and about 5 miles from Glasgow Airport. Oh and I am disabled having difficulty walking. Full disclosure here, !!
So I find a conversion, based on the ubiquitous Ford Transit chassis. Nice looking van, in Magnetic Grey they say. I say nearly black metallic with smoke glass windows. It has a 2 litre Turbo Diesel engine and stick shift gearbox with 6 gears. About 125 bhp. Inside, it has all the bells and whistles, Cruise control, ABS brakes, parking sensors, running and spot lamps. 17 inch alloys. Bluetooth phone, DAB radio, 7 USB hookups, MP3 plugin. Full A/C and heating, even a driver's bum warmer!!
The big thing for me, is a rear ramp for a wheelchair and rails fitted to secure a person in a chair, while travelling. I have been using a chair/walker and assumed that I could just shuffle out, load up and off I went. Too easy!
To buy this van would cost about £27,000. However, we have a Government scheme, in the UK, which provides for the leasing of cars and vans to disabled folks. They allow 1 named driver/carer, on the insurance, which is fully comprehensive, covering all rebuild costs and injuries, included in lease. It also covers maintenance, repairs and servicing. I get full roadside recovery to my home, too. I get the van for 5 years and had to upfront £3,300 which works out at £660 per year plus they deduct about £70 a week. I think I get 20k miles per year with a cost per mile after that is used. I also think that I get a full set of tyres. So I borrowed £4k from my Credit Union and put the £3.3k on a Credit Card. LOL £4k to me to buy goodies.
In front, there is a two person bench and driver set up and behind that the same again. All of the seats have headrests and belts. So 5 passengers. Then come the rails and w/chair person looks over. Some setups make back row 1 seat, either side of chair and they revolve. Another set up is as described. I said that I wanted a van and had no preference whatever. I thought that I would be loading my walker.
So the really nice sales guy arrives and we kick it about.a bit. He tells me that I need a w/chair, to qualify and walker no good. Damn thing has a seat and wheels. Oh well, onto the internet I go and find a firm who will sell me an electric job for £1,175. I order it and see that they accept PayPal. I decide to try PP Credit and they give me £2.3 K As you may have read,f urther down, I juggle Credit Cards, quite legally. So the PP Credit can be paid via cash withdraw. I opt for £105 per month which would be a lot BUT I withdraw cash, bank it and transfer it, So paying £125 makes me look good and I pay my card minimum plus 25% which makes me good with them too. I have 8 weeks, if I time it right! I have just reduced my outlay. I live this way, buying food on a card, Amazon goodies on cards, fuel will be on a card. NEVER mix cash withdrawal and credit on cards. This is how they make their big money. No cash is repaid until all goods have been fully paid. So if you take out £50, then buy a jacket, the cash is not repaid until you have cleared the jacket. Of course, folks just keep going and run up huge interest. Add up your minimum goods and withdraw cash from 1 card to pay min plus 25% With good timing you get 6/8 weeks income before paying!!
So the saga continues.... After 10 days I phone up and hang on for 11 minutes while a girl is checking delivery. I give u. I try again,3 days later, same crap. I find website, e mail is cheap!! They are moving and blame the move. Now one reference number is the same, no matter where it is, in the whole World. So all they have to do is note site A or site B I am not impressed.
My sales guy wants to measure the chair, to fit the retaining rails and things are held up. I tell him the saga.' Oh we do chairs, too,' he says. Why did he not tell me that???? So I e mail cancelling the order and pay the 2nd firm £1,550, on a card, of course. The chair comes in four days!! But I'm out the first lot. I e mail them, every day, where's my rebate.? I threaten Court action and they return my money to PayPal. So I now have a £2.3 line of credit.
I phone to say that I have a chair, to be told that the guy has a week off on holiday and nobody else can measure the rails. Another week!! So, it is a great system but obviously, it takes a while to set up.
I hope to be mobile for 1st June now.
I cannot understand why America is afraid of limited Socialism. For the cost of one warship, they could have peeps out and about instead of in 'jail' festering away, behind closed doors. The UK, fourth or fifth in the World, is the nearest thing to a mixed economy, with some Socialism and some Capitalism, both of which keep the other side in check. When I read Economic and Business Organisation, I remember the phrase 'guns or butter' which means that you can either manufacture armaments or supply food but you cannot do both. One suffers at the hands of the other. America has settled for guns and has embarked on a World Domination Tour to fulfill their butter needs.

So the really nice sales guy arrives and we kick it about.a bit. He tells me that I need a w/chair, to qualify and walker no good. Damn thing has a seat and wheels. Oh well, onto the internet I go and find a firm who will sell me an electric job for £1,175. I order it and see that they accept PayPal. I decide to try PP Credit and they give me £2.3 K As you may have read,f urther down, I juggle Credit Cards, quite legally. So the PP Credit can be paid via cash withdraw. I opt for £105 per month which would be a lot BUT I withdraw cash, bank it and transfer it, So paying £125 makes me look good and I pay my card minimum plus 25% which makes me good with them too. I have 8 weeks, if I time it right! I have just reduced my outlay. I live this way, buying food on a card, Amazon goodies on cards, fuel will be on a card. NEVER mix cash withdrawal and credit on cards. This is how they make their big money. No cash is repaid until all goods have been fully paid. So if you take out £50, then buy a jacket, the cash is not repaid until you have cleared the jacket. Of course, folks just keep going and run up huge interest. Add up your minimum goods and withdraw cash from 1 card to pay min plus 25% With good timing you get 6/8 weeks income before paying!!
So the saga continues.... After 10 days I phone up and hang on for 11 minutes while a girl is checking delivery. I give u. I try again,3 days later, same crap. I find website, e mail is cheap!! They are moving and blame the move. Now one reference number is the same, no matter where it is, in the whole World. So all they have to do is note site A or site B I am not impressed.
My sales guy wants to measure the chair, to fit the retaining rails and things are held up. I tell him the saga.' Oh we do chairs, too,' he says. Why did he not tell me that???? So I e mail cancelling the order and pay the 2nd firm £1,550, on a card, of course. The chair comes in four days!! But I'm out the first lot. I e mail them, every day, where's my rebate.? I threaten Court action and they return my money to PayPal. So I now have a £2.3 line of credit.
I phone to say that I have a chair, to be told that the guy has a week off on holiday and nobody else can measure the rails. Another week!! So, it is a great system but obviously, it takes a while to set up.
I hope to be mobile for 1st June now.
I cannot understand why America is afraid of limited Socialism. For the cost of one warship, they could have peeps out and about instead of in 'jail' festering away, behind closed doors. The UK, fourth or fifth in the World, is the nearest thing to a mixed economy, with some Socialism and some Capitalism, both of which keep the other side in check. When I read Economic and Business Organisation, I remember the phrase 'guns or butter' which means that you can either manufacture armaments or supply food but you cannot do both. One suffers at the hands of the other. America has settled for guns and has embarked on a World Domination Tour to fulfill their butter needs.
Like all Empires before them, British, Roman, Mongol, Celtic, Goth, Visigoth, Austro Hungarian, Fascist or whatever, they will eventually fail, because of simple logistical problems. They just spead the butter too thin!

Looks like Iran are to be given Iraq as a 'thank you' for taking the heat over the smoke and mirrors shenanigans that are going on to cover up what is going to happen, very soon, in USA.
My money is still on a huge quake or similar disaster, on the west coast, with the grid going down. Huge amounts of electrical cable and many generators are being bought and stored on the east coast, right now.
Troops are being mustered and put aboard ships, to go cruising, until they are needed at home.
The most difficult tasks, following a disaster, are getting people and stuff to the correct places and controlling the madding crowds trying to flee the area. The people, who remain, also become a huge problem to house and stop from looting with curfews. Mustered troops, do not need the additional hassle of reporting for duty and joining their confederates.
Will I end up with a huge omelet, on my face We shall see................

£2,400 is equal to £46 per week for an adult to live on. Who are they trying to kid?? Universal Credit pays £70 per week, just now.
Raising it to £92 per week would be better but how long until t happens? With two annual rises, the figures will be of little difference. In general, power cost rise 6% every Spring, rents rise every Spring although a person claiming can opt to have rent allowance paid directly to a landlord. Many people do not use this option, keep the rent allowance, which inevitably leads to eviction.
In September, a figure is produced purporting to show the retail price rise amount. This percentage is then used to raise Social Security payments, in the following April. So it is costed backwards to provide a raise in the year coming. Potentially, 2 years out of date!! Last September was 2.8% and benefits increased accordingly.

This is all smoke and mirrors crap ! Another case of look over there while we try to sort out what is really going to happen over here. Something big and bad is going to happen in USA this Summer and troops, vessels, etc., are being moved out to safety with a view to bringing them back to clean up the mess.
If a national disaster happens, it is always difficult to move men and assets from where they are to where they are needed. If you have men (sorry ladies) and materials offshore, then it is far easier to just bring them back, instead of trying to round them up and transport them.
So to me, it looks like the electric grid is in trouble and will drastically fail for whatever reason. Should it go down, then communication is immediately restricted for the people, as is cooking, refrigeration, air conditioning and arranging to restock supermarkets.
A long hot Summer, with these problems added on, will obviously lead to looting, heavy violence and a huge run on the banks in order to withdraw cash, to buy whatever is available. Credit Cards....forget about it!! cash will be king with bartering becoming a close second.
Sure, they can bring in power from Canada and Mexico but it will be rationed out to hospitals, for military use, and for law enforcement, to operate the curfews, which have to come in, using Martial Law.
At present, huge transportation of electrical cables, generators, and other equipment, related to the power supply, is happening on the East Coast of USA. Is this being done to hook up with Canada?? S, what is going to knock out the grid? Old age..unlikely. External sources, such as a direct asteroid hit....possible, mass sun activity...unlikely Terrorism.... too haphazard. Spacemen zap it oh dear!
