Series of violent home invasions by African (Sudanese) migrants leave Melbourne residents terrorized and afraid to leave their homes



This insidious practice is becoming common in most affluent countries with rising unemployment. They take sightings in an area to check who is normally home alone, has dogs and stays indoors. Then they appear with a clipboard claiming to be from services, pollsters, local councils or whatever. When the person opens the door, they force their entrance, tie them up and then have the run of the home.

I have a sturdy chain on my door which allows only a small opening. Yes, it could be broken easily but I would be roaring and going for a weapon. Sadly, I have knives in various areas of my flat and will fight in Court rather than be attacked and robbed.
