Facing Execution For The 'Crime' Of Being A Christian In Iran

Facing Execution For The 'Crime' Of Being A Christian In Iran | Before It's News

As far as I am concerned anybody can be a member of any religion that you care to name or invent. As long as they do not try to ram their views, down my throat, or try to or actually force and coerce others to accept their views, when they do not wish to do so, they can plod away, if it keeps them happy and/or gives them inner peace and solace.
To threaten to hang a person, for their religious views, is not the action of a sensible, modern, state and they should be pilloried for so doing in the Court of public opinion in order to bring outside pressure to bear to change the country's rulers minds regarding their barbaric position.
I am totally against the death penalty, in any shape or form. To take away a person's freedom to move about,at will, associate with whomever they wish, halt them from doing as they please and incarcerate them in humane conditions, for the rest of their natural life, is a just punishment, which allows any mistakes to be rectified, if the need arises.
To kill someone for their deeply held views as opposed to an action, which they may have carried out, is disgraceful and quite beyond the pale.
