If there is a run on the banks and depositors take their money out, lending of any kind will cease, completely.
No business loans and overdrafts will certainly be curtailed and called in for many firms. This will result in a huge number of small to medium business failures. Their ability to grow, however slowly, is the only thing that is looking good on the financial horizon.
