This chemical was sprayed from planes over the jungles of Vietnam to try and find the routes being used by the NVA to resupply their troops. It stripped the leaves of the trees in order to see through the canopy of branches. Of course, they were underground and also in Laos, a neutral country, driving up and down, parallel to the border and crossing into and out of that country. The Laotians could do nothing about it and many of them agreed that America should not be meddling in the region, at all.
