Once you get placed onto a watch list it becomes very difficult to get off it !! Even if you prove in a court that you were not guilty, of anything, you can just be kept on under the old adage of 'no smoke without fire.' Eventually everybody will be on a watch list, of some kind, which is exactly what they want to happen..
