Drones will be the new Air Force of tomorrow. Research departments are currently working on remotely controlled ships and land trucks for troop and shell carrying. Troops would move into position lightly kitted out and be supplied with ordnance and other supplies as and when needed. This would give greater flexibility in that supplies would be fit for purpose as opposed to sending white snow suits for desert conditions!!
