Predominantly Asian gangs groom teenagers with drink and drugs. Take them to parties and show them a great time, to hook them Then out comes the story, 'I'm a bit tired tonight, been working so hard, but my really, shy, friend could be doing with some company, so let him take you out, as a favour to me, enjoy yourself."
It develops from there and may lead to drug dependency. To avoid the shakes, vomiting, diarrhoea, hot and cold sweats and flushes, they need more gear. To get more, they have to do favours for which the 'owner' is paid by the 'customer.' The kid,male or female, gets cut down, rubbish, kit as payment and needs more to get high. They are told that they are becoming dependent, which is not necessarily so, as most of the gear is of poor quality, deliberately. They can't 'perform' in a zombie comma!!!
