Public sector strike threatens airports and teacher walkout to shut 4 in 5 schools

Well i am beginning to feel vindicated now. During the Winter I forecast a Spring/Summer of discontent with demos, riots, strikes and great unrest. Spring was a bit of a damp squib with only one huge demo by the TUC which went off peacefully. A taxation protest group, Uncut, took over a building for a weekend and had a disco in it. They ended up wreaking the building. The Royal nuptials, a perfect opportunity for mayhem, when the police were busy with the Wedding security, passed by.. In Europe the Greeks had sporadic outbursts and the French students and unionists appeared to be joining forces for a big demo, but nothing really got underway.
Now, in the Summer, things are getting a bit more serious. A huge strike is coming tomorrow, Thursday. The Greeks are fighting on the streets in a 48 General Strike. Things are bubbling over.
So I may not have been wrong after all.
