This robo cop was totally out of control!! He had already been involved in an incident prior to him attacking an innocent man ,from behind, wacking him and assaulting him. This assault led to and was causal in the death of the man and is therefore, manslaughter. No quibble, no question, he is guilty in my eyes.
It would be my bet that his defence will say that he was under great emotional stress, probably, because his goldfish or budgie died or his children had toothache or some other similar crap! Diminished responsibility will be brought in and this Professor and that Professor will talk about Einstein's Theory of Relativity or String Theory, in the witness box, for days, in order, to put the jurors to sleep!!
He will end up, if found guilty, with a community service order and will then claim that ill health makes it impossible for him to actually carry out any duties laid down within that Order!! No doubt Ian Tomlinson committed suicide just like Michael Kelly and in his death throws threw the blunt pruning knife down a storm drain !!!!
