Oscar Wilde's phrase much quoted by American Economist Edmund Burke, "Lies, damn lies and statistics" comes to mind. By using the right numbers, in the right columns, it is possible to prove that black is just a darker shade of white.!!!
Anyone one who even bothers to complete statistical forms normally writes a load of complete rubbish as a protest to the invasion of their privacy! So how these figures can be correlated into anything resembling the true situation is way beyond me !!
