Why fly? It is said that tunnels exist, underground, which carry people on mag lev trains, at speed, from country to country right now from one spook station to another. Why not expand this system for civilians to use and save all of the research and development needed to build these planes which can crash just as easily as slow ones do!!! in a tunnel, with escape routes, there is a much better chance of survival.
The internet was a poorly keep secret for decades prior to it going public, so why not open up these tunnels, which the public has already paid for via taxation, to carry passengers and freight. They can keep their spook branch lines too.!!
