I suppose that there are always two sides on every coin and the point must be considered. America let the genie out of the lamp when Al Bore 'discovered' and 'invented' the internet on the back of a napkin while at lunch in a KFC in Alabama or somewhere else , possibly Guam! they allowed public access and it just grew and grew from there.
China has tried very hard to control the content coming into their country and access from within to sites,which the Government don't like and have failed due to proxy servers and mirror sites. I can't see america doing any better.
