Well he had a good holiday! While in Barlinnie, top security jail, he wrote and published his own blog,daily, on the internet, proving that there is access, from inside prison's, to the web. He was given the nod to stop it, as it could cause a delay to him going to the open Castle Huntley. Note there was no crack down, no punishment just a quiet warning!!!!
At Huntley prisoners or campers may wander in and out all day. They can meet friends for lunch or more exercise orientated press ups. Obviously they have access to phones while out. They then train for freedom and are given weekend passes.Sure they must be 'home' by about 8/9pm and tucked up for ten. oh the pain!
So what will he do now? No doubt he will apply for Grants including his wages to provide care in the community for something or other. He has got out just in time for local and Governmen grant season in May. So after a good holiday and a quiet Summer, look for him reappearing in the Pollock Centre in swanky offices.

I am in the happy position of having two propane gas heaters which move about on wheels. The bottles are delivered and pre paid at £25 each, so I have no big bills to deal with. I can get 75 hours, burning at one bar, from a bottle and also get a nice red glow light allowing me to see. I can connect a gas bottle to a camping cooking ring which allows cooking in an emergency, too.
Should the electricity go off, which is unlikely as I live in a country town, as opposed to actually out in the country, my only worry is the freezer food!!! If things get really bad I can use electric central heating, but sparingly!!!
A bonus comes up if the temperature drops below zero,for seven days in a row, I get and extra £35 from the Government. This on top of my Winter Allowance of £200 and the Electric company bonus of £120
There is nothing wrong with a mixed right/left wing mixed economy. Why is America so frightened to go that way??? Most countries have and they don't seem to be in as much of a financial mess as America is at present. Total Socialism. like total anything does not work, you must have a bit of this and a bit of that in the mix.

Good pictures but this paper tends to use photos from any year to suit a story.!! Why pay for new ones when they have a load of stock. You will notice there are never any years stamped on them. They got caught using photos of street drunks from years ago to back up a recent story about Cardiff. Some were 2008 !!!
How my views have changed over fifty years.
I saw my first dead body at the age of 3/4, my Grandpa. He was laid out, Irish style, on top of the bed, with his best suit and boots on and a candle at each corner. Two of my uncles were pilots. One died in a glider, while instructing a pupil, who lived, in the RAF.The other died in Ankara, Turkey in the cockpit of a BEA flight to London. They crashed into a mountain, in falling snow, on take off. The altimeter was later proven to be wrong. These were pre teen 1950's and had me thinking. My father died when I was 13 and various uncles,aunts and cousins of my parents died too. I was surrounded by it and began to explore it. Not in a morbid way, just in a questioning way.Where do we go? What happens and so on. Not a good outlook, but inevitable and so not worth getting bothered about.
I read the Bible, cover to cover and saw that it was a good book, with good values but pure fiction!!!! There had been so many translations and so many benefactors having bits put in and taken out to suit their needs and control the sheeple. I read about Budda and liked that. I read about Indian Gods for everything and each had their followers. I got interested in ancient feudal Japan. But really, religion was a failure and I had given it up by 15/16. The best quote that I have ever read on religion was that "Man invented religion to keep man in some order."
I was being pestered along the lines of choosing a career. What was the point, I thought, we all gonna die, brain surgeons or binmen.I got round it by saying let's see what exams I pass and go from there. Breathing room.
Politics took my interest. let's make it better.Why pay all of these Governments? I had just read 1984 and Animal Farm and quite fancied a one World Government, where the space race was stopped and as Kennedy wanted, let's go there as Earth and not as Russia and America were doing, spending loads of money doing the same things. This money could be used for poverty and a one World Government could send stuff to where it was needed without country borders and paperwork. Heady days the 1960's. I came to realise that they were all bent and it was better not to have just one big bent one!!! I became a no hoper, a Liberal. I nearly joined the Party too, but their joining with the Social Democrats and new Liberal ideas made them seem desperate.
Yes I had passed a few exams but of a general nature. English, Maths,Arithmetic and Technical Drawing. I did a couple of years as a draughtsman in heating and ventilating and liked it. In my second year I was put out on the fabrication floor. I was handed a lit up gas welding torch, rods and told to weld up pipe bends!!! No training, no safety, complete rubbish. I could watch and learn but had no real practical experience. So that ended that one. I had a go at marriage, but failed at that too.
My Mother's family had all gone to Los Angeles and the plot was for my Mother and me to go there. A house was sorted and I had a job to go too. My uncle bought houses, did them up and sold them on. We went over and I hated the place!! The almighty Dollar!!! Everybody was fighting for a tip ! Over attentive waiters, happy smiles and plastic people. It was at this time that I coined the plastic people phrase which I have used all of my life to describe people who are moulded into what they perceive to be their job persona, to the exclusion of all else. Then carp about it when not working. America was cancelled.
I dodged from one office to another and during a term of doing nothing ended up as a roadie for a band. They were good times but we had a bad crash, which I realised, later, had ruined my life, for such a small thing. I broke a small bone at the base of my spine. This piece had fired across and was lodged against my sciatic nerve. I was in constant pain and moving in certain ways caused a nerve shut down and I fell, with some rather spectacular results, sometimes!!! I was attending college, during the day, with a view to becoming an Accountant, which I did do.Later I attended the Open University home study thing. Self employment was the only game in town!!! Total control. Wage slaves were silly people, to me. Unfortunately, these people are the backbone of the economy and pay for everything, via taxation, while I was paid to save people actually paying!!!.
By the 1980's I had become a drunk. Never when working but I began to do less and less work. I could not handle the back pain. I had mastered the falling down, by only turning in one way, but could not sleep unless I was drunk. I had three girls working for me in their homes. One typing and the other two number crunching. They got an hourly rate and I charged three times as much. What a system!!! Then I found computers. Spreadsheets make accountancy a complete doddle and the word processor is pretty good too!!!
The drinking had brought on Gout/Arthritis in all major and minor joints. I was in and out of hospital and it took eight years for them to arrive at a diagnosis. During one of my visits I had a strange experience. I had a high fever and was in that lovely drifting mode of feeling warm,comfy and having no pain. Real deluxe, while aware of where I was and asleep when not. So I sit up, quick and ask a wee student nurse, 'what's my temperature?' Eventually she told me 104/5 I crashed back thinking about ice cream, icebergs and concentrating on getting it down.
Next thing I know, she is back with a basin of water and washing me down, with tears in her eyes!! oh ho.
I moved up from the bed as if on a set off moving stairs. I was still horizontal. When I got to the height of about 12 feet I saw a central convey going down the ward toward the bright day room at the end of the ward.
I was swivelled and put onto it and off I trundled. When I reached the dayroom I was on my feet. There was a white mist round my feet like on stage. A huge rocky outcrop to my right and a passage way going round to the right from where I was. I moved over, to see, via the angle, what was round there. Just round the corner there was a rough rocky archway which emitted bright white light from somewhere below. It seemed to me to go down into a central area but that was all I saw.
I tall man with black shoulder length, swept back, hair and full beard came round the passageway, from beyond this tunnel entrance, passing it to stand in front of me. He glided in the mist. He was wearing a luminescent light blue garment, covering from the neck down.We did hellos. In right away, I asked what is causing that light? He said, you may go there, if you wish, but you do not come back from there. I say, no going back then? No. um decisions, decisions.
He said, you can go back, if you choose, as you have a lot more to do there, to help people or move down there. It was then that I realised we were telepathic. Um I would like to help people, if I can. Okay,your decision is to go back? Yes. I awoke and shouted at the nurse that the guy opposite was in great pain and needed help!!! Strange!!
My Mother died and I had to decide whether I was going to slide into the bottle or get it together. I stopped it for six months. Since then 1990 until to day I have been able to take it or leave it. I can go into a pub, with friends, have a bar lunch and/or a couple of pints and then walk out. I very occasionally make a good steak dinner and have a bottle of wine with it, at home. I never quite manage to finish it. The number of hospital incarcerations has reduced greatly.
Now I am registered as disabled. I compute, I blog, I sleep, I eat. I like being solitary, but must rely on a few old friends to fetch and carry the heavier stuff. I used to drive a lot. It became a pointless waste of money. I would get up at 4am and drive a couple of hundred miles, have breakfast and come home in time for lunch. Boring. Computing, for me has been a life saver. I buy everything via the web and get it all delivered I can track orders, or as in Tesco's food system, they allow booking a two hour window on any day available. This is fantastic!!! New household stuff comes from either one of two home shopping firms. I have flex accounts with both and just add the new cost and adjust the monthly payments. Anything outwith I pay via plastic cards.
I have gazzillions of TV satellite channels and the whole WWW. My new thing is talking books. Music is my other love and I got a wide taste excluding, Country & Western, Rap, Punk and gangsta. Why are C&W always the same....my truck got a puncture, my dog got rabbies, my girlfriend left me but I'm fine cause I got my guitar!!!
Oh well, basically, I am liberal minded and think that it is nice to be nice. I am anti War/violence. I do think that many women dress, stupidly, but they should get a fine and not be sexually attacked for doing so.I would not go as far as Muslim garb, but for some it might be an improvement!!! I have no time for people wasting my time. Governments should work on behalf of and for the good of the people. The space adventure should be combined. People who attack the elderly and disabled should get sentences and not fines! It is long passed time that cannabis was legalised. It is great for arthritis and many other ailments. More and more it is being used to cure cancer. Soldiers can't fight, stoned!! Sell it via a chemist, what is the problem?? Don't big pharma make enough yet? Everything they produce seems to have side effects which, of course, need more pills and potions and so it goes on. Unlimited income, forever. Nobody has ever overdosed on hash, ever. Can pharma say the same??

People who attack the elderly and disabled should get sentences and not fines! It is long passed time that cannabis was legalised. It is great for arthritis and many other ailments. When all of this started I really believed that it would be a Worldwide collapse, just like dominoes falling. What a fool, I was. I forgot that the whole World is America, according to the media, the rest of the countries, on the Planet, merely play, a supporting role, a neutral one, if they can do, or they are just anti America.
I live in Scotland and although shops are closing down in the High Streets I think that the reason is high rents in a good location as opposed to folk not wanting to buy. Why pay top prices, due to the location of the outlet, when you can buy elsewhere or on the internet, from anywhere in the World.
Internet shopping is killing retail as the overheads are less. So we are left with huge stores or the internet.
I buy everything on the 'Net. My food, from Tesco, who can give me a 2 hour delivery window, on the day that I choose. Household goods, I buy via 2 home shopping sites, both of which allow me £2,000 credit. I can track the order from them, to the courier and so on. I then pay monthly, interest free.
My banking and bill paying, standing orders and direct debits are all done on a computer and they are open 24/7 365 days a year!! I am disabled and have difficulty walking. So ever now and then I transfer £250, for petty cash, into my friend's account and he withdraws it. This avoids any claim from the bank that I ave out my PIN number. Everybody goes it, but in any dispute with a bank it can give them a way out.
The only things that I, regularly, buy for cash, is propane gas, for heating in Winter and pre pay cards for my normal electricity. Maybe some odds and ends. Chinese, Indian and even for a fish supper, they all take cards, over the phone, to deliver.
Cash is finished but I still would not like to lose it all together.

I have mixed views on this topic. I would rather try and talk a 16 year old out of it if I could. In Scotland, the age of consent is actually 16 and so it is quite legal to have sex. A person may also go and die for their country, too, at that age, but cannot vote. They can play the lottery and buy cigarettes.
There are two views really. If it is a boy, asking, then it becomes 'go on my son!!!' but a girl is always ' my little princess.'
I, personally, would not allow casual sex. But if there seemed to be a steady relationship I would say 'okay.' Much better to ensure that a girl goes to the doctor and takes the pill as a condition. A boy should have contraception, too, even if I had to buy them!!!!!
I would rather they were safe, at home, than in a shop doorway, in a park or wherever. These days they use their rooms when the folks are out working, anyway. They ain't silly. That's what I did!!!!

I have been in and out of hospital quite a lot over the past 25 years or so. I am now disabled suffering from Gout/Arthritis. This can affect from one joint to every major/minor one and any permutation in between. As I live alone, some attacks mean that I just cannot take care of myself, cook, get about and so on.
Anyway, I end up in hospital until the limb (s) get better. The staff change the water jug twice a day and visitors bring in coke and orange juice. There is always plenty of milk on the wards too. However, I have always had to ask for drinks to be poured or milk brought to me. Never has anybody bothered to ensure that I am having enough fluids during a day, unless I was on a chart. As the quickest way to get better is to expel the uric acid I would think that pouring fluids into me would be a good move!!
The food in my local hospital is crap!! Quiche Lorraine and various other cheap per portion crap. They cook it all in a central kitchen and then transport it, to the wards, in heated box trolleys. The food is devoid of any moisture. Breakfast is the only good meal as it consists of orange juice and cereal!! I generally survived on mashed potatoes and butter. Not much to build up one's strength. Had I been alone, without visitors, I can understand why people starve in hospitals. If they do happen to notice that you are not eating they force you onto high fibre drinks. With visitors, I was okay, having sandwiches, hot rolls with bacon, sausage,burgers At night I could have a curry or a fish supper brought in. The staff did not mind but I felt sorry for the others who could not get good food. On my last sojourn, all brought in food was banned!! Why, says I? Well if you get food poisoning, you could blame us. They were in a panic about germs. Now, takeaway food is cooked at high enough temperatures to kill germs and there are hygiene laws. Sandwiches, made at home, may be a different matter, but it all seemed very petty to me. Germs can get inside hospitals, very easily.
Every car, bus, lorry,van or ambulance can bring them in on equipment, packaging,tyres, bodywork and the drivers. Any outside clothing can harbour germs. Any open window can allow airborne germs in. So I think that food brought in is much safer than these wheelie bin food trolleys. Bias, who me?

Actually I posted ages ago that I thought that Anonymous was being run by a Government as their secrecy was really good and they needed a large number of people to work in three shifts. With egos as they are somebody, somewhere would have to brag and only a country could control a secret computer section.
I was put it down to Israel.
This article leans toward the CIA. I can't see it, really, as leaks would have happened, that it was them, within a few days of start up.!

Stargate
I was having a kind of deja vu day today watching movies which I have on disc. I have never really been one for science fiction other than the TV Series of Star Trek. The only movies that I like are Hal the talking bomb in Kubrick's 2001 or was it Space Odysessy? (see what I know about SF movies!!) and Stargate a 1994 movie which a friend told me to watch. Oh and I saw Robbie the robot in a 1950's one, too.
As I watched Stargate, I recalled seeing a documentary, recently, which reported that the pyramids were, at one time, coated with limestone which could make them a giant battery. There is the Baghdad battery, so why could the pyramids not be the same? But why?
There are pyramids all over the World, all perfectly aligned and which can be joined up with imaginary land lines, to each other. A retired Army surveyor named Monck has proved the mathematics, that each pyramid is related, no matter the difference in time when it was built. They were built, on sites, to order. All relate back to Stonehenge in England.
Now why would the local yokels, who provided the labour, build them to such very tight tolerances? There was no need, if all they were doing was building a burial chamber, was there? They had to have instruction, presumably from E T 's
So back to Stargate. A pyramid shaped ship descends and fits over the top of the pyramid. The ground base would therefore have to fit the shape on the bottom of the ship or there would be damage or just no couple up. So why not a ship tapping into the electricity provided by the Earth to refuel? They would have to know exactly where they were on Earth and which way to orientate, in order to hook up, if they were a little low on juice, now wouldn't they? If one was dry, they knew where the next nearest one was to it. Like electric cars of today.
The occupants of the ship would just be visitors, to the natives, who would teach them stuff or give them goodies.Hence all the wall paintings of 'people' with goldfish bowls on their heads and flying chariots. Just like the explorers bought the island of Manhatten for a bunch of coloured beads.! The natives built the garage for the aliens to refuel, with their labour, in return for goodies.When the tribe's rulers died, they put them inside hoping that they would be taken to the stars, by the visitors.
Why could these sort of mark 1 ships not refuel that way? I have seen loads of video showing that when there is an electrical storm in Earth's upper atmosphere, it attracts them like flies. Mark 2, better ships?? Well I like it.

The end of an era and the death of an icon. In my youth my first camera was a Kodak Brownie 127. My dad was a keen photographer and all we used was Kodak film. Ectachrome and Gold were terrific.
But as time as moved on film has been replaced with slot in disks and film is now only used by a few specialists taking black and white as opposed to colour
