There has not been a Tiger for such a long time and I always thought that a name was much better than a string of numbers and letters, anyway.
Originally, the Tiger was a 500cc brought out as a big brother of the Tiger cub 150cc and super cub 200cc. A later, failure to sell, was the Tiger 650cc. There were just too many Triumph 650 's at the same time.
Thunderbird, Daytona, Bonneville, T6 Trophy and the Tiger all in showrooms at the same time.
