The Celts pronounced Kelts, appeared in Europe, about the first century BCE and fought the Goths,Visigoths and others to clean them out of Europe. From France, they crossed to Cornwall, in SW of England, for the tin mines. They moved into Wales and over to Ireland. From there they arrived on the West Coast of Scotland.
This was a huge empire and like all big empires they had logistic hassles..
