You may think that by putting poison in food, as an act of terror, would kill/affect their own supporters and so would not happen. Well think about it.
Jewish people don't eat Pork and buy from Kosher outlets. Muslims buy from Halal suppliers. Vegans only eat vegetables. Most Indian religions don't allow meat eating either. So a terrorist group could quite easily target a type of food which their supporters don't touch.
