A new money making scheme has evolved in the Uk. A private let is organised and the rent is paid. But there is nobody actually living there. The rooms are converted into growing areas and visited to water the plants and cultivate them. Neighbours come and go in flat dweller land and nobody really knows what is happening through the dividing walls. people keep themselves to themselves these days.
If the renter is unemployed he/she can claim the amount paid for rent from the Government. The utility companies for gas/electric are not informed of a new tenant by the lessors and believe the flat to be empty. Wiring is put in place in order to by pass meters reading both supplies. So a hash factory is set up and running, producing a crop about every 2 months.
The really cheeky ones may apply for a furniture Grant to provide the basic needs such as a cooker, bed, table and plates,bedding and other household items. They get a giro cheque posted out to them and can cash it in. This is put towards equipment!!! The first crop provides income to rent further homes and the cycle starts again at unit 2, 3, 4 ,5 and onward...
The more astute farmer realises that they now have access to addresses. Credit Cards are issued by firms, who rarely ever check details, to these addresses, on data given to them which is, of course, false. A good address of a regular bill paying credit worthy person is found. the story then goes that he/she is getting divorced and moving into the new address. As they are Credit worthy they get more and more Cards issued to that address. The plant gardener picks up the mail!!!
Another good racket is multiple occupancy. Social Security regulations allow three people to rent a room in another person's home. So a three bedroom home could have 12 people staying there. If they are all given breakfast, the rates per person rise greatly. It is up to the claimant to say that they have moved on. Until then the payments keep on rolling in to the landlord.
Rent a couple of flats, claim multiple occupancy, claim benefit for each name and get credit cards delivered by mail. Grow hash and sell it. What an income!!!!! Is it really in wonder why half of Europe wants to live in Britain???
