I really don't agree with this piece. The Americans believed that the drone was the greatest thing since sliced bread! It was small, quiet, had no crew, other than a joystick jockey in Las Vegas or Virginia and could fly in at 45,000 feet and take pictures and/or fire off some rockets.
Now this one may have been subject of a lucky hit, after the Sun glinted on it, or the Iranians may be able to take them over or just jam the microwave signal. However you can bet that from now on each one will have a self destruct charge on it!!!
