Should America and their lapdogs, Israel, or is it the other way round, attack Iran, they will receive a rude awakening from Iranian forces alone, never mind, should China support them too. Israel would be flattened in the first few rocket salvos. Iran would certainly receive cruise missiles, incoming, from American submarines and surface ships. But they have a surface to sea missile which gives 1.5 seconds to try and avoid it, if they even detect it coming.!! One of these would sink a carrier with 6,000 people aboard, never mind a carrier group with destroyers, cruisers and associated ships. Iran is no push over. They have been trying to get mobile missile launchers from Russia, who have, continually. failed to deliver them. The new deal, on the table, being that Iran will give Russia the drone details, if Russia releases the launchers. This will give Iran mobile units, much better than the scud launchers. Sure satellites will target them while they move, but with modern camouflage, they could be hidden away. Heat signatures could be masked by placing them near to normal hotspots. It just won't be easy and what would happen, within America, should the draft come back?? Currently, troops are returning from Iraq and will have their Xmas and New Year, off duty. Then, probably, they will have to police the streets of America, the way things are going ,at present!! So where does the cannon fodder, to fight Iran, come from? There just has to be a return of the draft.
I can remember being at a draft 'party' in Los Angeles in 1969. Every male there, on that Saturday night, had their orders to turn up on the following Monday, for transit to Vietnam. Even at that late date, a couple were going to Canada on the Sunday, but the majority were going to turn up. They all had friends, who had gone to Canada, Mexico or Holland, which was very popular. This meant, for them, that should they return to America, they would be arrested. They loved their country, but had no truck with the War. Should the draft return, the same sort of decisions will have to be made, by many people.
