This Xmas weekend's load of crap on Uk TV. Is it any wonder that people, with computers, are downloading movies, for free, from www.piratebay.org and other sources?? Currently, I see, they have available the new Mission Impossible 4 and the new Sherlock Holmes movies, among thousands of others. They also do music albums, audiobooks, E books, Concert Videos, full series of TV shows and loads of other stuff, all free!!!
You should be reminded, of course, that to download and play these movies is illegal in the Uk, as it is in many other countries. There has been no stated case in Uk Law as yet, regarding movies. An Ayrshire nurse was recently fined for d/l music, but she was making up playlists and selling them on a commercial basis, for musak use, in pubs and clubs. She had thousands of tracks stored. If you download, watch and delete well??????
However, I am told that by downloading and installing a masking program from www. thetorproject.org it makes it extremely difficult to be traced as a downloader. Your request, apparently, goes to them and they then split the outgoing request into six pieces and send each of these, via a network of volunteers, all over the World, who allow their computers to be used as conduits. The file requested comes back to them in six pieces, again, going through the network and is joined up and sent to you, to load into your computer. Now that is an awful lot of tracing!!! This is the program which was used by Chinese students to defeat their Government's censorship and blocking of internet access. So it must be rather good!!! The records on your computer show that you contacted them and their records show where the request went, not yours.!!!
