Oak Island
This is the island, in Nova Scotia, that is said to have either Templar or Pirate treasure buried in a deep pit. It has been cleverly constructed, having trapdoors and sections which flood, should you do the wrong thing. Nobody has successfully got to the bottom of the pit, although many have tried and some have lost their life doing so.
There is no map or plan available and it is very much a case of trial and error. It has, obviously, been completely dug, had the treasure, if any placed at the bottom or off in a connecting tunnel and then filled in, placing the trapdoors and other naughty stuff into the construction as the pit was refilled.
