If you look at the VAT laws they show that if stuff is brought in,then goes through some kind of process and is then sold on,then VAT should be charged.I am therefore surprised that they are VAT free at present.
One of our favourites when studying Accountancy was ladies knickers. Clothing is divided as being children's and adult's. However the cut off is not by age but by the measurement of the size of the gusset in a pair of knickers.!!
