I completely agree with Janet Street Porter as I cannot stand high fives, low fives,knuckle crunches gang style waving hand shakes,shoulder bumps air kissing,double cheek slobbers or even simple handshakes,
We Scots are said to be non tactile and for sure, I certainly am. I have my space,which these days amounts to about a square metre,two if I'm lucky, which I deem to be mine.
I first encountered this sort of crap in America. People wanted to shake my hand and drag me towards them for a hug. I was reviled at this activity from perfect strangers. No wonder they have water problems,they waste it all showering two or more times every day just in case they meet somebody.
