The last rumoured undersea attack took place where the cables come out of the water,to cross the desert, near to the Meditteranean access to the Suez Canal. They cross and go back under again, heading towards India and the Far East.
In Cornwall,which is in the southwest of England, transatlantic cables come ashore to cross,under land, to London.They follow the route of the old telegraph,London/Bristol/Cornwall, to the south of Eire and onward into the Atlantic.
