I am quite sure that geologists and engineers have been boring holes to relieve the pressure building up in the main pipe. Of course they may come to a point in time when they cannot run off lava. At that point,the main pipe and the area round the extra pipes will all blow at the same time.
When animals such as deer, buffalo and ants begin to charge out of the area,you got hours not days to do the same thing !!!
