Afghanistan opening first major train service | World | DAWN.COM
Well this new train track should get supplies from Pakistan into Afghanistan. Of course this presupposes that Pakistan allows the train to cross the border. In a hilarious mad thought I've just had, I hope that the track widths are the same, otherwise stuff will have to be cross trained!!!! What's the betting that they are different?
This is the problem with the Channel Tunnel between England and France. Britain is 4 ft 8inches and the European tracks are a different width. So the train cannot go right through either way. American tracks are different again. As India and Pakistan railways were built by the British.................he he ha ha!!
