She might even be innocent ! The evidence seemed rather weak altogether. Sure, she lied a lot to the Police, but you are not under oath to tell the Police the truth, a pack of lies or whatever. They are the detectives and evidence must stand up.
When I watched the news, at 7.00pm, in Scotland, the guy from an American TV mob was saying that there was a jet standing by to take her home!!! The verdict had not been decided then.Was it Oprah's by any chance. She is going to make a fortune, for her four years in jail, in Italy, where by all accounts, she has had a great time, learning Italian, playing guitar, singing in the jail house rock band.
I suppose that there was always the chance that she was sentenced to 20 years or so. Her legal team couldn't have been very confident, as they were preparing the next appeal, during this one. I did notice one of the older patrician type advocates, sitting back and looking at her, in what looked like worship, at her speech, in Italian, to the Court. It was a dramatic performance, with no notes, but just a little of that petulant Italian hand waving, with the thumb and finger together. She certainly seems to have settled into the Italian system. Perhaps he wanted to hire her!!
At 24, she still has a lot of her life in front of her and she is going to be very,very, rich.In America, she could, possibly, have been dead, by now. How awkward would that have been?
