Looks like the Budget, coming next week, will be a belter and a collective belt tightener. Well like everybody else here are my guesses..............
Cigarettes up by 10p per twenty pack. A Pint of beer up by 3p Btl. Spirits up by 15p, 5p on Btl of Wine, Cider up by 10p per pint and a person has to be 21yrs of age and over to buy it, anywhere, to buy Buckfast and/or anything with a higher than normal strength, anywhere, too..
Income Tax stays the same. VAT Same. National Insurance Contribution Rate Rises 1% lower paid 2% higher paid. Fuel up 2p in September. Road Tax up £25 per year. MOT Test up £5
Inheritance Tax limit raised. Increase in Premium Bond holding to £50K... Stamp Duty..... Same. Winter payment to rise by £50 for over 60 yr olds/over 80yr olds, too. Weekly extra cold Weather payment up by £5 per wk. Xmas £10 bonus scrapped.
