Hackers must be wetting themselves at the prospects for this one coming out ! As they all stand in line doing their shake and pay just record the beeps on a mini tape. All of these beep machines work on sound.
Remember the Sinclair spectrum ? I worked out way back then that he numbers 1 to 0 and yet and no came to 12 sounds. The C to C chromatic scale in music has 12 notes So by using the beep function on the Sinclair I worked out that if you raised the scale up through 2.5 octaves and set the time of beep to .25 seconds then you could record the beeps and take then back down to the actual numbers.
It has never been changed in all that time. Pin numbers for cards everything beeping all works the same way. Even phones.  Put a number into a speed dial and hit it.  Record the number a it beeps.  Hang up.  When you get a dial tone play the beeps and bob's yer granny!   Digital is great!!
