In my youth I lived under the flightpath of Renfrew Airport and also got buzzed by the Fleet Air Arm at Bishopton which later became Glasgow Airport. Landings and takeoffs now fly past the side of my present flat but fortunately I rarely hear the modern jets going out. Except the transatlantic ones which seem to go out fully fuel loaded and land at early hours. The 1 am Mail plane is usually the last until 5.30am when either an AirCanada or United Airlines 767 lumbers in. Then it is shuttles from everywhere and to everywhere for a solid three hours Then the biggies having been cleaned, re crewed and filled up lumber out and then it all begins again!
In Summer, there are flights all night long with viva espana donkey buyers. The Law states that it shouldn't happen but it does. Why don't they all go to Prestwick? They have a train station for Ryanair costomers.
