On the one hand it is part of a religious tradition that women cover up . Some women should!! In the West, women dress to attract a mate. So why after they have one do they still have to look attractive? How many times have we seen stupid men fighting over a pretty woman? Men don't seem to fight over a Niqab wearing woman!
Quebec, in Canada, has banned the Niqab. The rest of Canada is considering it. France is putting the issue before their Parliament this July. Belgium too is considering it but their Government just resigned.
In France a woman received a fine for driving wearing a Niqab. Her husband has four "wives" and children to each one. All are claiming state benefit. The same thing happened in Britain at one time but the Tax Laws were later changed.
Yes it is easy for a man to wear a Niqqab and escape arrest. But priests wear long vestments. It is difficult and coming to the UK soon. Basically I am against the Niqab in public, maybe.
