15th February
It is 0830 hrs and I have spent the night backing everything up onto the new Hard Drive and doing a bit of cleaning up the computer drive as well. Gives a sense of security knowing things are in more than one drive. Might even hook up the scanner, later, after a few bacon butties and a good sleep.Read the Sunday Papers and the kids with the kid have taken the banks off the front pages. But not for long!
Now here is a good conspiracy! It looks like LloydsTSB were sold the dummy when they bought HBOS. You know TSB started out in Dumfries and Perth as a farmers mutual and with expansion later became a bank. Prior to them becoming a bank there were three big banks in Scotland.
The Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of Scotland and the Clydesdale Bank.
They had established themselves over hundreds of years and printed their own notes. The TSB came up very quickly and ate into their market. The merger with Lloyds made a new stronger competitor who had to be taken down a peg. Previously, the big three had taken over smaller banks or been taken over, quietly, themselves. The new LloydsTSB was a big player.
"Revenge is a dish best taken cold." LTSB bought the dummy and are now heading for nationalisation. They have long memories these bankers!! No "Johnny come lately" is going to break up their cartel.
