The big joke about all of these huge fines is that it is we,the customers,who actually pay them. This is why interest rates for savers are so low. Banks are repositories for our money,they have none of their own.We put our money into banks,they shuffle it round,pay their expenses which include share dividend golden hellos,redundancy packages, wages and all of their daily expenses. After all of that,we mugs might get a a half pence interest or less, if we have left £1 in the bank for a year.!!
All of these fiddles bring in money to pay big bonuses to the very people who are busy fiddling!! Oh and you will not catch them putting their big bonus in a bank! They buy works of art or second homes,in good locations, which are certain to make a profit for them over time.
