New York Times Reporters who put out Darren Wilson’s Address have their Addresses made Public
There is a lot of this goes on in both USA and in the Uk. In the uk they check the phone book first and get a list of possibles Then onward to the Voter's roll, which gives an age of the person they are looking for.
With these two quick computer checks you have the name, address and phone of anyone that you are looking for. As the information is public access, they can then publish.
Reporters rarely live in the same town and because of this they are rarely outed. In the uk, you can have your phone number ex directory and you can delete your name from the voter records. I,personally, have done both.
The only problem which can arise is that when applying for Credit facilities, the finance folks can't find you either. If you owe money, changing your phone number and having it ex directory, stops the phone calls and deleting your details means that you may have moved. You cant vote...big deal!!!
It is nice to see reporters get things reversed on them!!
