This is Mount St Helens in Washington State,USA erupting 30 years ago. with the build up of seismic activity could it be enduced to blow again? It was the last vocano to blow in USA.There are others, Mt McKinley in Alaska and another rumbling one in Yellowstone National Park which is the more likely to blow.
Earthquake activity in California is well monitored but really if they get a real big one then no time warnings will be given. Perdictions made by soothsayers including Nostradamus see California slipping into the Ocean!!
Pressure within the Earth builds up and if not disapated through other means looks for a way of escape thus volcanoes, Earthquakes are the result of techtonic plates rubbing against each other or moving away from each other.
So unless a pressure build up occurs exactly at or causes a plate movement it must surely be unlikely that both would happen at the same time.
This is the only disaster movie plot that hasn't happened yet, a double whammy, so any producers reading this "It was my idea,first!!!"
