A UAV carrier in the skies? - i-HLS



The obvious plane to use is the C 5 Galaxy, which has doors at both ends!  Drones could land and take off using either door. Some sort of internal wall would have to be built, half way in the plane, to stop a landing drone, should it not be slowed down enough. Indeed a central control room would make a C5 autonomous, if the drone controllers were also aboard .

With drones now running for days an area could be seeded by the C5 and then the plane could move to another area to collect other drones,previously launched. The plane would then land, drop off a batch, take on a new batch and rotate in a continuous operation.
