Personally I thought that he would get five years ! So he does six month in Barlinnie and then onward to an Open Prison for a year where he can wander in and out practically as he pleases. If he decides to appeal he may be allowed bail until his appeal(s) is heard and if he drags that out then he will be allowed 'time served' to be deducted. So with a few sick notes here and there from witnesses, he could 'serve' his sentence on bail !!
