What a superb idea!! There should be one language that everyone can speak, write and understand. Everything in the whole World should be carried out in that one chosen language doing away with having to translate everything a gazzillion times. Then have as mainly local dialects as you like but everybody should be able to communicate in one language only. It might as well be English as I ain't learning any others!!!!
No more computer keyboards in Urdu or Cantonese. No more reams of computer code to do translations which very few people use. Uniformity is the key in these days of 1984.
Everybody should wear the same Chairman Mao suits with different colours to code how much more equal they are to each other. too. !!
