Scots attempt to overturn US ban on haggis

Scots attempt to overturn US ban on haggis - Telegraph

Why is haggis banned in USA? How can you possibly have a Burn's Supper over there without that prince of birds the Haggis.
Hunting season for the Haggis begins on the Winter Solstice 22nd December and lasts until the weekend prior to Burn's Night on 26th of Jan. A short shooting season for conservation purposes. Haggis breeding in captivity has ended now except for a few Zoos.
It has stubby wings like a penguin and tends to hop/fly lowly over gorse and heather on Moors. Beaters go out and drive the haggis toward the guns, which can be a dangerous occupation and they are self employed for that reason and to avoid silly Health and Safety Rules.. Quite a number of beaters have a limp so they have difficulty getting out of the way.!! Many limp with both legs.
Off road quad bikes were tried but the beaters got mixed up a bit with the direction indicators. There was confusion when they turned left they shot off to the shooter's right and the yellow bulbs blinded the Haggis too.
Shooting blinded Haggis is not considered to be cricket in Scotland.
