Man wrongfully convicted of rape and freed after 17 years receives no compensation, but does get hit with a child maintenance bill | Mail Online

Something is very wrong here. He gets no compensation and a bill for $111,000 back maintenance. He couldn't care for his kids while in jail on false charges and he gets no compensation for the lose of 17 years! I don't think that the system in Canada is a very fair one.
