More and more supermarkets are joining the Ikea club by putting stuff in different parts of the store than normal. It used to be a loss leader in between two things that were up in price. Is the shopper just becoming wise to the tired old tricks that supermarkets use?
personally I shop on line. This cuts out impulse buying as I go in to buy what I need. Yes I do look at special offers and if I use the stuff on 'buy two get one free' then I buy for stock. My best buy, recently, was buy a pizza and get two free. I bought three and got six free.
