There is no place for a Death Penalty in a so called civilised society. Of course a life sentence should be for the rest of the convicted persons life for murders. To me that is a longer punishment than the 'quicker' Death Sentence. The bonus being that should the person be later proven to be innocent then they have a change to continue with some of their lives which could not happen should they have been legally murdered in revenge by society.
