About 6 million peeps in Scotland will be hoping England don't win, of course!! But strangely, it is being said in S.Africa that it is hoped that the American team drop out, very soon, for security reasons. The England v USA game will be the most heavily locked down game and it is hoped that no bombs or demonstrations take place either in or near the stadium.
Supermarket sales of cut price beer will be huge and I really think that the days of the pub are numbered as more and more peeps gather round the TV with the carry out near at hand and the pies, sausage rolls and pizza ready for half time.
On that note, if you cannot afford the prices of the Sky Sports channels here are some URL's of S.African TV channels so that you can, at least, watch it on the internet for free.
www.sabc1.co.za www.sabc2.co.za www.sabc3.co.za www.sabcnews.com(Main channels)
www.dstv.com (cable channel) www.etv.co.za (soaps channel)
South Africa has only had TV broadcasting, surprisingly, since 1975 and all the above are in English. Enjoy!
