Another load of paintings have been stolen from a collector in Marseilles. Two men got past two security gates and brazenly knocked on the collectors door! The man in his sixties was beaten up, badly.
A Picasso lithograph and four other paintings were taken by these guys. Les flics just don't have a clueseau. Perhaps Hercule Poirot, from Belgium, could be brought in to solve the cases
Les flics is French slang for a policeman. The walking patrol officers wore capes into which some placed ball bearings, in the hems, so that the cape sat well. They got into the habit of flicking the cape as they walked hence les flics.
